Un certificato di Classe B può essere revocato tramite revoca.

Procedure

There are various reasons why certificates and smart cards may need to be declared invalid. These include loss or theft of the smart card, resignation of the employee and suspicion of abuse. The registration guidelines contain a comprehensive list of the reasons for revocation.

Revocations can be requested by the certificate owner/end user, their superiors, their HR unit or the LRA officer. Revocation requests must always be submitted to the LRA officer.

After the revocation request has been checked, the LRAO launches the Revoke Wizard and selects the smart card that is to be revoked. The requester and the reason for revocation must be entered. The LRAO then initiates the revocation in the system.

All the smart card's certificates are revoked and the smart card itself is blocked. The revoked certificates are recorded as invalid in the CRL (certificate revocation list).

Scadenza

Ci sono diversi motivi per cui i certificati e le smartcard perdono la loro validità: ad esempio in caso di smarrimento o furto della smartcard, di uscita dal servizio del collaboratore o di sospetto di uso illecito. I motivi della revoca sono elencati in modo esaustivo nelle direttive per la registrazione dei certificati.

I titolari del certificato/gli utenti finali possono chiedere una revoca al proprio superiore, alle RU o al LRA-Officer stesso. La revoca deve sempre essere richiesta al LRA-Officer.

Dopo aver verificato la richiesta di revoca, il LRA-Officer avvia il relativo wizard e seleziona la smartcard da revocare. Durante questo processo devono essere registrati il nome del richiedente e il motivo della revoca. A questo punto, il LRA-Officer avvia il processo di revoca nel sistema.

La smartcard viene bloccata e tutti i suoi certificati vengono revocati. I certificati revocati vengono riportati come non validi sulla Certificate Revocation List (CRL).
