Submission mailbox
Here you will find information for ordering group mailbox class C certificates / submission mailbox.
Background
On 1 January 2011, the Ordinance on Electronic Service in Civil and Criminal Proceedings and Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Procedures and the (revised) Ordinance on Electronic Communication in Administrative Proceedings (ECAPO, SR 172.021.2) entered into force. Under these ordinances, authorities are obliged to accept and/or process electronic submissions. Accordingly, a committee led by the Federal Chancellery decided on immediate measures which are to be performed by all offices in connection with the receipt of submissions. The majority of the offices concerned have already been informed by means of checklists and various notifications, but there is still a need for clarification and support on the implementation and setup of submission mailboxes.
- At the SG PKI, it is possible to order either the group mailbox certificates on their own or an entire service package.
- The service package includes the mailbox request, the issuance of certificates and the setup of the delivery platform.
- Information on the recognition of delivery platforms.
Prerequisites
There are no special prerequisites for requesting submission mailboxes. However, with the introduction of the new ECAPO, the authorities were obliged to set up so-called "submission mailboxes" in three languages.
Requirement
Installation
- The installation of the group mailbox certificates on the workstations of those entitled to access the mailboxes is the responsibility of the customers themselves. The SG PKI sends the certificate, password and instructions to the user by email.
- In addition, the administrators of the group mailboxes will have to make a few adjustments to the delivery platform, but these can be done with the help of the instructions and, where necessary, with the support of the SG PKI.
Publication
- The offices are responsible for ensuring that the submission address for third parties is published on the Federal Chancellery's webpage. Please use the Federal Chancellery's Excel sheet under Cyberjustice dealings with the authorities.
- To register your submission mailbox with the Federal Chancellery, send the completed Excel sheet to the following address: Federal Chancellery – Registration of submission mailbox
