Certificates Class A

The Swiss Government PKI issues certificates in accordance with the current provisions of the Federal Act on Electronic Signatures (ZertES). Class A certificates can only be used in combination with an authorised signature application.

LRA-Officer

• Basic training

  Description

  The training is aimed at future LRA officers for class A. The office or organisational unit defines the persons who perform the function of LRA officer for class A.

  • Note: The training courses take place with at least 4 participants

  • LRA Officer for class B with at least 6 months' experience in issuing certificates.

  Please register for the desired LRAO training course using DWP (Digital Work Place). If you do not have the appropriate authorisation, please contact your superuser in your office.

  Organisations affiliated to the Confederation (cantons, police, courts)

  New class A certificates are no longer issued on smart cards, but exclusively via the signature service (server-based). Due to the lack of a legal basis, SG-PKI is not authorised to offer them outside the federal administration. The organisation eOperation Switzerland offers digital government services for cantons and municipalities. Please contact this organisation if required.

• Continuing Education

  The current registration guidelines for LRAO class A apply. Attendance at future workshops for LRAO class A is mandatory. If attendance is insufficient, the relevant credentials may be revoked at any time.
