  Modern workspace

  We generally work in open-desk zones. However, there is no fixed allocation of standard workstations, and they are shared as flex desks. The modern creative zones are ideal for inventive teamwork or workshops. Community zones are available for shared breaks and spontaneous discussions. If you want to concentrate or hold confidential discussions, you can use one of our breakout rooms. And our external hub in Zurich is particularly attractive for staff from Eastern Switzerland, who would otherwise have a long commute.

The aim is to identify staff needs and provide an environment in which the staff can achieve excellent results.   Flexible forms of working

  Our progressive working models are based on flexibility and security. We are able to offer part-time working for most jobs. Depending on the position, job sharing may also be possible.
  The FOITT fully supports mobile working within Switzerland. Under the annual hours-based working model, staff can freely organise their working hours to a large extent, while taking account of operational needs. Staff using the trust-based working hours model do not record their working hours, and cannot offset extra hours worked, overtime or flexitime. In return, they are free to choose between various individual options.

  Connection

  Public transport, car or bike: whatever you use, the Meielen Campus can be reached quickly and easily – Oberzollikofen station is right around the corner. There is also Zollikofen station, which is only a few minutes' walk from the FOITT, and has connections in all directions. In addition, an underground carpark is available for staff travelling by car or motorbike. Bicycles can be conveniently and securely parked in bicycle cellars.

Reconciling work and family life

• Parents: We provide support to families above and beyond the statutory minimum, with 16 weeks' maternity leave and 20 working days' paternity leave.
• Childcare: We offer a large amount of financial assistance for various forms of external childcare, as well as through generous family allowances.

  The FOITT offers 16 weeks' maternity leave and four weeks' paternity leave/parental leave for registered couples; both of these are fully paid. In the case of an adoption, the FOITT grants parents paid leave for two months. Following the birth or adoption of a child, parents have the right to reduce their employment percentage by 20%. In addition, family allowances are above the statutory amount.
  In the event of a child falling ill or having an accident, the time needed can be claimed and recorded, up to three working days per incident.

  Childcare

  We contribute to the costs for supplementary childcare. Moreover, parents with questions on various aspect of life – including partnership and family – can call on independent advice services.
